Lady Jaguars Coasting In Lead

Kiawah Island, S.C. – Augusta State maintained their grasp on the lead in round two of the Edwin Watts/Kiawah Island Classic, staying 17 shots clear of second place.

Christine Duschek-Hansen shot another even-par 72 to sit an even for the tournament, putting her one shot back of the lead. Casey Kennedy dropped to a 1-over 145 after shooting 75 to sit tied for fifth, while Marit Bjerke (1-over 73) and Kirsty Rands (4-over 76) also counted on the day.

Natalie Wille posted a 77 for ASU's non-counting score of the day, but sits tied for seventh after an opening-round 69 that gave her the lead.

The Lady Jags return to the course tomorrow looking to nab their first victory of the spring season; they lead Elon by 17 strokes, with Campbell and the University of North Carolina at Greenboro another shot back.
